摘要: “为艺术而艺术”作为唯美主义的核心观念之一,在中国现代文学中获得了很独特的表现,产生了中国化的特定表现形态,“节奏”说则是其中最具特色的一种。它曾获得众多文艺家的关注,贯穿于现代文学的整个过程——与20世纪初鲁迅开辟的追求生命律动的“恶魔美”路向密不可分;在现代纯诗力倡者那里获得了广泛呼应;最终在钱谷融的《论节奏》中颇富深意地获得某种程度上的收束总结,并成为《论“文学是人学”》的先导,由此在现代文学史上留下了独特足迹,启迪着后人对唯美主义自身价值及其中国文化境遇的思索。

Abstract: As one core concept of aestheticism, "art for art's sake" in modern Chinese literature has a distinctive way of manifestation
with localized forms, and the theorization of "rhythm" is the most unique one among its specific concepts. Authors and
theorists help to define its trajectory of development throughout the process of modern Chinese literature. Lu Xun approached it at the beginning of 20th century from the perspective of "devilish beauty" as a form of the rhythm of life. Lu Xun's conceptualization echoed among the advocator of pure poetry. Literary theorist Qian Gurong's essay "On Rhythm" can be viewed as a summary of the process of the theorization, which may be a harbinger of his idea of "literature as the study of man." The theorization of rhythm in modern Chinese literature provides a unique concept for the study of modern Chinese literature and literary aestheticism.
