新时期文艺学研究与信息论方法

摘要: 20世纪80年代文艺学界掀起了“新老三论”的热潮,但学术界对其进行的研究都比较笼统,缺乏必要的说服力。本文针对这一现状,对文艺学引入“新老三论”之一的信息论的具体情况做了分析性研究,挖掘出了文艺学引入信息论后所取得的主要成果:在美学方面打破了美、丑的二元对立;在文艺理论方面,艺术作品由可以进行静态解剖性研究的实体转换为动态发展的复杂过程;在文学批评方面以一种平衡的方式引入了读者这一维度,并由此衍生出批评的自觉。同时对文艺学引入信息论的不足也进行了分析。

Abstract: The period of 1980s saw an upsurge of adaptation of scientific theories, such as system theory, information theory and cybernetics to the theories of literature & art in China. This paper probes the relationship between information theory and the theories of literature & art to identify the resulting achievements and failures in integrating the former into the latter, and describe the role of information theory in the expansion of theories of literature & art. This paper examines from three aspects the contributions of information theory. Firstly, information theory breaks the duality of the beautiful and the ugly in aesthetics. Secondly, works of art are investigated from the perspective of processes instead of entities. Lastly, the readers is approached as a new dimension in literary criticism, which leads to the autonomy of criticism .
