  • About author:Qiao Guoqiang is a professor of English Language and Literature at Shanghai International Studies University, China. His research interests cover American Jewish literature, narratology and western literary criticism. Gerald Prince is a professor of Romance Languages at the University of Pennsylvania. He is currently working on the second volume of his Guide du roman de langue française (1951-2000).

摘要： 这个访谈围绕近些年来叙述学研究中出现的一些热点和难点问题进行了交流，其中主要包括叙述/叙事、隐含作者、叙述性、叙述状态等问题。访谈还就美国叙述学研究状态及其走势、以“复合性的”表达方式出现的叙述学，如结构主义叙述学，后经典叙述学，后现代叙述学，社会叙述学，心理叙述学等问题进行了讨论。

Abstract: This interview with Professor Gerald Prince conducted by Professor Qiao Guoqiang centers on such contested topics and difficult issues in recent years as narrative, implied author, narrativity, narrativehood, etc. Other issues discussed in the interview include general trends in narratological studies in the United Statate and the modified or 'hyphenated' narratologies such as structuralist narratology, postclassical narratology, postmodern narratology, socionarratology and psychonarratology.
